Magnum Learn Lab for Storytellers: Scholarships for Photographers Magnum Learn Lab is Magnum Photos first long term international mentorship program. Spanning ten months, it is designed to support emerging photographers in the deep development of a personal project, combining in person residencies, individual mentorship, and sessions with industry experts. It is not a technical course, but an artistic program focused on research, critical dialogue, and the evolution of a photographic project. Two scholarship opportunities available: one for photographers based in North Africa and one for photographers based in Europe. NORTH AFRICA Scholarship (Face à la Mer @facealamer.tanger) In partnership with Face à la Mer. Open to photographers aged 18 and over living in Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia, and Mauritania. The scholarship covers tuition ($17,450), visa, travel, and accommodation. The participant will need to cover their own expenses during the third on-site workshop in Paris in November 2027. The interview will take place during the Face à la Mer festival with @mina_mostefa @wilfrid_esteve and representatives of Magnum Photos Learn @sofiabechir @ines_cvl and Magnum Photographer Antoine d’Agata and artist Tania Bohórquez @taniabohorquezsalinas EUROPE Scholarship (Magnum Learn @magnumlearn) Open to photographers aged 18 to 30 living in a Schengen Area country. The scholarship covers the total course fee ($17,450). The participant will need to cover their own travel and personal expenses. The interview will be conducted with the Magnum Learn team.
