The DRIFT Open Call for mid-career choreographers is open! DRIFT is inviting applications from mid-career choreographers wishing to pursue artistic research within a European context. Ten artists, one from each partner country, will be selected to take part in a programme dedicated to experimentation, reflection and professional development. No finalised project is required: DRIFT primarily supports research processes that lay the foundations for future creations. The call is open to: • Professional choreographers with a demonstrated track record in contemporary dance or performance • Mid-career artists — beyond the emerging stage at the national level, but not yet fully established at an international level • Artists whose practice would benefit from strengthening the research phase of their work • Artists wishing to develop their presence and connections at a European level • Artists with a solid interest in experimentation, transnational collaboration, and artistic research • Artists with a good command of English (working language of the project) Each selected artist will benefit from the following support : • €20,000 earmarked for the research phase • 3 Online Labs • Showcase participation • Artistic and curatorial mentoring • Professional networking & international visibility Application deadline → 31 August 2026 Apply now using the form on @driftdance.eu DRIFT is an International initiative focused on supporting Dance emerging and interdisciplinary artists in Europe, involving EDN members @maisondeladanse_lyon and @mercatflors - @granerbcn and funded by the European Union @creative.eu
