The Loeb Fellowship at the GSD is now accepting applications for the Class of 2028. The deadline for applications is Tuesday, January 5, 2027. The Loeb Fellowship is a 10-month, full-time residential fellowship for mid-career practitioners whose work is advancing positive social outcomes through the shaping of the built and natural environments. Each Fellow will receive a stipend and housing in Cambridge and will have access to the educational resources of both Harvard and MIT over the course of the academic year. The Loeb Fellowship encourages applications from a wide range of exceptional practitioners in the United States and around the world with a minimum of eight years of experience in their fields. Past Fellows have included urban planners and designers, public artists, landscape architects, journalists, architects, activists, farmers, public servants, policymakers, and community development leaders, among other professions. Practitioners with experience in diverse community settings are encouraged to apply. The Fellowship does not have educational or degree requirements. We welcome applicants who plan to come to Cambridge on their own, as well as those who wish to bring their partners or families with them. The Loeb Fellowship has also partnered with the @harvardartlab to offer one candidate from each Loeb cohort an opportunity to augment their Loeb year with access to additional space and research opportunities. Loeb Alumni are available to help candidates learn more about the Fellowship experience via the Fellowship’s new alumni “Connect” platform. The Loeb Fellowship will offer two Zoom webinars for interested candidates to learn more and ask questions on Monday, November 9: one at 8:00 am ET and one at 4:00 pm ET. The webinar presentation, along with the Q&A, will be recorded and placed on the Loeb Fellowship website.
