VBKÖ invites artists, collectives, curators, and cultural practitioners to submit proposals for our annual program (March 2027 – February 2028). At a time marked by the resurgence of authoritarianism, colonial violence, militarization, and extractive capitalism, we invite projects that rehearse other ways of living together through collective artistic practice. We are looking for exhibition formats that bring together multiple artists, collectives, and collaborative practices, accompanied by public programs such as performances, screenings, workshops, lectures, and conversations. We welcome proposals rooted in feminist, queer, anti-racist, anti-colonial, and anti-authoritarian perspectives—projects that nurture communal care, embrace complexity, make space for tenderness and difficult emotions, and imagine alternative futures. • Budget: €4,000 per selected project (artist fees + production)
