OPEN CALL Residency 2027 l México City

16 кастрычніка 2026
Мексіка
Бясплатна

Estudio Chapulín is an artist residency based in Mexico City, created to provide visual artists with the time, space, and support to develop their practice in a quiet, self-directed environment.

The program is designed for artists who value focused studio time while engaging with the city’s vibrant cultural landscape. Rather than following a fixed curriculum, the residency encourages a balance between independent production, dialogue, and exchange among artists.

Each residency begins with an introductory conversation with the Estudio Chapulín team to discuss the artist’s project and research interests. During the residency, a group gathering is held where residents introduce their practice and share their work with one another, creating opportunities for conversation and exchange.

As part of the program, each resident receives a studio visit to discuss the development of their project. Depending on the season, the residency also includes one or two group visits to museums, galleries, artist studios, or cultural events throughout Mexico City.

The residency concludes with an Open Studio, where artists share the work developed during their stay with fellow artists, curators, and the public.

With a small number of residents each season, Estudio Chapulín fosters an intimate environment dedicated to artistic research, experimentation, and production.
