RESIDENT SCHOLAR APPLICATIONS | What will you make time for? Some research needs more than a deadline. It needs time, space, and the chance to think alongside people working across disciplines. SAR’s Resident Scholar Fellowships give scholars that space in Santa Fe. Fellows spend their residency advancing substantial research projects while becoming part of an interdisciplinary community of scholars, artists, and thinkers. Projects should typically require nine months to reach substantial completion. SAR welcomes work across the humanities and social sciences, with a preference for empirically grounded research and writing that can engage audiences beyond academic specialists.
