Writers’ House (Kirjailijatalo in Finnish) is a three-story wooden house designed by the architect Wiwi Lönn and built in 1906. The building is located in Finland in the city centre of Jyväskylä, right next to the beautiful and historical campus of the University of Jyväskylä.

Writers’ House is known for its communal residency. The House has four residency rooms that can be applied to by anyone working with literature, prioritizing writers that have a convincing plan of work. However, if there are available rooms, they can be rented to other artists as well.

Duration of residency

2 weeks to 3 months.

Accommodation

Writers’ House Jyväskylä, a private room with shared bathroom, kitchen and common areas.

Disciplines, work equipment and assistance We prioritize writers and people working with literature, but other disciplines are welcomed to apply aswell. Fees and support

Two weeks 240€.
One month is 300€ small room and 350€ for big room.
